Série photographique réalisée au Japon en janvier 2023
Billet en poche pour le Japon en 2011, nous annulons ce voyage pour cause de Tsunami, de Black Out dans le pays. Après plus de 10 années à imaginer ce pays, la rencontre de Miyoko en France, ces repères différents, cette interprétation du quotidien, et son invitation en 2022 nous décide d’organiser ce voyage. Notre choix de destinations est compliqué vu l’étendue et l’intérêt du territoire: Tokyo nous semble évident, Kyoto l’historique, Kanazawa face à la mer du Japon, et Nagano en montagne. Quatre aspects du territoire visibles dans cette série d’images, avec une certaine spontanéité photographique évidente, l’oeil étant attiré tout au long de la journée par des signes inhabituels, un aménagement si singulier, une architecture si variée.
Photographic series shot in Japan in January 2023
We had a ticket for Japan in 2011, but cancelled the trip because of the Tsunami and the Black Out in the country. After more than 10 years of imagining this country, the meeting of Miyoko in France, her different points of reference, her interpretation of everyday life, and her invitation in 2022 made us decide to organise this trip. Our choice of destination was complicated by the sheer size and interest of the country: Tokyo seemed obvious to us, Kyoto the historic, Kanazawa facing the Sea of Japan, and Nagano in the mountains. Four aspects of the territory visible in this series of images, with a certain photographic spontaneity evident, the eye being drawn throughout the day by unusual signs, such a singular layout, such varied architecture.
